This has been my professional organization for many years. AAMFT has therapists with extensive training to focus on the entire family unit and the impact it has on the client.
Members are not only trained in marriage and family therapy, but also in structural or systemic counseling, and can also do individual therapy. Membership is worldwide.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is an effective form of treatment for those who have been impacted by trauma. Counselors listed on their referral list are highly trained and are the only ones I recommend to my clients.
